Fantastic Friday Feeling Breakfast Show

I have been into Soul music from my teens, helped out various DJ friends in my youth but only got to present my own show on Kennet Radio in 2014 and was hooked! Although I have a broad interest in Soul, Funk and R&B, my main personal interest is Northern Soul - I still collect rare 7 inch vinyl's. My day job is with a local charitable trust and I am also an artist working mainly in oil paints. Live in Hampshire now (via London) but originally made in Staffordshire.

The Rock and Pop Years

I've been a presenter and general volunteer at Kennet Radio for just over 2 years. My first experience of presenting for Kennet Radio was 'The Chris & Co Show' where I would interview interesting guests and play some of their favourite music, a 'Desert Island Disc' type format. I now present or co present the following shows: 'Friday Afternoon Delight' 'Saturday Sport' and 'A-Z of Rock' every third week of the month. From a personal perspective I took early retirement in 2016 as I was keen to get away from the drudge and stress of 'Corporate Life' and focus on giving something back in the community. With local radio being a passion of mine for some considerable time and it's Kennet Radio I thank for giving me the opportunity to do so. I also do some voluntary work within the Lambourn Valley where I live, I'm chairman of the local Village Hall, and I also play drums in a covers band primarily playing rock. So basically I'm an extremely busy boy!.

Hard Dance Saturday

Chris started clubbing back in 2000, going to various parties including Frantic, Pickle, Xlr8, Solid Sunday etc. Then he fell in love with the DJing and music and was inspired by seeing DJs such as Phil Reynolds and Nikki S performing. At that point, Chris decided he wanted to give mixing a go himself. So, he made the jump from being on the dancefloor to going behind the decks. And in 2009, he played his first gig playing at Refre5h at Club 414. Chris has continued to enjoy mixing at home, and this musical journey over the past 10 years has taken him from Trance into Hard Trance and finally now into Hard House. He is always constantly wanting to learn and discover new things and techniques and hopes that people enjoy listening to his music. While Chris admits he loves mixing, particularly different music genres, this hasn’t dimmed his enjoyment of clubbing. So, you will often see him dancing away on the dancefloor with a big smile on his face. “I want to put that same on people’s faces with my music in the same way that my favourite DJ’s have lifted me up and made me dance away on the dancefloor!”
